health and sugar

The holidays are coming....a suggestion: don't go all five alarm fire with dessert eating - mainly sugar. Haven't we heard it before? Whether you are young or old,  in perfect health and at perfect weight or not - watch your sugar intake. Health and sugar do not play well in the same sandbox. Cancer/disease loves sugar...and we know where high sugar content foods  choose to visit in our bodies....The main reason it is so bad is because it is the major cause of inflammation in our bodies which can contribute to a  plethora of health related issues such as weight gain, disease, depression and a host of other health conditions. We will probably visit this subject in more detail in other blog posts, just wanting to put a small boundary on a free-for-all holiday season followed by regret. Be proactive with your health because no-one knows your body like you do. You can do it. Health and sugar do not mix - they are  like oil and fire.
