Gratitude is a much ignored or forgotten "art" of thankfulness. Every day and in everything we do , we can find some portion of things to be thankful for. Yessssss - life is rough, exacting, challenging, discouraging at times, and full of moments/things that we would rather not have to experience, but in ALL things we should strive to be gracious. teachable. compassionate. patient and understanding especially in those things we are vastly uncomfortable dealing with. Believe it or not, good can come from the not so good, if we are aware it can exist. As I am confident we are all aware of the blessings that come along within our relationships, families, jobs and any other category large within our lives, there are challenges, hard times, rough decisions, you name it - to be contended with probably on a daily basis. I often remind myself to look for the blessings even if hidden because it is sometimes hard to focus on those blessings when everything seems contrary. I would also like to give encouragement to call on gratitude because it can change a disposition and bring out the sun on a rainy day. Thankful for kids, friends, job challenges which will create a future reap in benefits, in any areas which seem insurmountable....there is always a positive aspect in them to be found. Birds are singing, trees and flowers are blooming......Believe - all things work together for good for those who love the Lord. Oh how much gratitude we should be exercising instead of letting "stuff" camouflage our appreciation.
