Were you born first, second, third? Believe it or not, there is science and research out there regarding personality and birth order, characteristics which seem prevalent to that particular order. Many books and studies have been done which tell us some interesting facts. First born? Overly cautious, super studious, conscientious, critical? Middle children can be impatient, feel they are treated unfairly, are more adaptable. Youngest tend to be the clown of the family and can be manipulative. These traits and others do not show up at birth but rather are demonstrated in the personalities as there is maturity. Birth order is a very interesting subject with possible insights towards ourselves or our children. If we make emphasis on positive traits, we might help people (even ourselves) be more of who (they or we) could be. We all have God-given gifts so who is to say that birth order does not play somewhat into that?
